Punyavasanam is a ritual performed at homes for purification of the home. A kumba pot is set up to invoke blessings of Lord Varunan (God of rain and clouds). The kumba pot water is sprinkled over the home to purify.
Anthiyeshti is performed typically on he 31st day of the death of a person to complete the funeral rites. The priest will conduct the rituals at home.
Sirartham is performed on the same tithi of the death of a person. Piṇḍas, (balls of cooked rice mixed with ghee and black sesame seeds), are offered to the Pitrus (departed souls) during this ritual.
